My Favourite TikTokers | Who You Need To Follow

Do I feel too old for Tik Tok? Yes

Do I post any content on there? No

Do I waste hours of my life scrolling through my for you page? Absolutely! Hours and hours. The vast majority of my daily tasks are postponed by watching people act over the same sounds, do the same dances and the same hilarious content.

It's no secret that TikTok has been a staple of lockdown and the dreaded c word (no... not that one...but coronavirus). I know hundreds of people, just like me who said "ugh I would never get TikTok" and yet here we are, downloading and scrolling endlessly. It has bought joy and unity for people doing the same dances and laughing at the same trends or TikToks and although it doesn't yet have a special place in my heart like Vine, I still love the app.

There are millions of content creators across the app, purely because literally anyone can be successful. The algorithm TikTok has means you don't need to have hundreds of thousands of followers to get some recognition or have a successful video. I'm proof of that: We have a TikTok account at the place where I work and we posted a TikTok with a grand old 8 followers, and that post now have over half a million views! So I wanted to do a little post about some of my absolute favourite TikTokkers. Some you may know, some you may hate but I either find these creators hilarious or talented... or hilariously talented.

Here goes:

1) Celinaspookyboo. If you haven't seen this lady's page yet... you must! I fell in love with Celina when she had a few million followers and was posting content about tie dye and colour reveal barbies. She has since then only got more and more hilarious! Her sleep walking TikToks have now gotten her to 12 Million followers. Her content puts a whole new meaning to laugh out loud and she still remains true to herself despite her great success. If you haven't yet watched her - you absolutely must!

2)shellrowe. Michelle has not only shared her journey of beating cancer for the second time but also makes hilarious comedy TikToks. She has been so inspiring and I think I speak for all of her followers when I say I cheered and cried with joy when she shared she had beaten cancer again. She's always positive and is great at making you laugh. A TikTokker who no doubt deserves every ounce of success she has and will have.

3) christianmhull. I love this Aussy. He originally became famous for guessing paint colours on TikTok which is how I stumbled across him on my For You Page, but he also makes hilarious videos of him reacting to other TikToks and skits including his brand, 'The Fuck Off Shop'.

4) mikaylanogueira. WHAT'S POPPIN'. UGH I love her. Mikayla is a extremely talented Makeup artist from Massachusetts. Her strong accent combined with her sayings such as 'wicked awesome' combined with her unique makeup looks and sweet, funny personality makes her content amazing and again is another content creator who deserves every ounce of success she gets! We have followed her makeup success over the past year and she is also bringing us on her weightloss/ body positive journey along with her dating life! She is honesty fantastic and if you are into makeup and not following her - that needs to change right now!

5) max_balegde. Not only is he a huge Little Mix fan just like me, which is great because his surname sounds like the noise Jesse made when she was doing a 'Jamaican accent', but he makes TikToks reflecting on 'questionable' celebrity moments. He is too funny and his rants will have you howling!

6) aliciamccarvell. Her content is all about body positivity and making women feel great about their bodies! She does this alongside her husband while they make cute but funny videos together showing what a real marriage is like. She is fiesty and not afraid to stand up for herself and normalising women's bodies!

7) officialmacrose. Mac is a plus size fashion stylist living in New York and I am eternally jealous of her life. She shows day in the life's of her job and life in The Big City and fun tips and tricks videos. My favourite content she makes though is plus/mid sized fashion! She makes amazing videos of gorgeous outfits and looks to make you feel confident and fabulous, creates outfits from style icons like Princess Diana and fashion through the ages!
